What a huge bridge for her to cross!! Admirable.
Sub continental history is replete with such stories: Ordinary women doing extraordinary deeds. So many unsung, uncelebrated. Such as mothers telling their sons to die for the cause, e.g Bi Amma, Maulana Mohammed Ali and Maulana Shaukat Ali’s mother.
